Mission

The mission of iHub Anubhuti is to provide a thriving ecosystem in India for research, development, and entrepreneurship in the area of ‘Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing’ and collaborate with Industries, Ministries and Startups to develop technological solutions which can address short-term and long-term societal needs.

Vision of the HUB

To establish itself as a hub of Research, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation in the area of Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing.

Build a nationwide shared and distributed Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing facility for public research and commercialization.

Founding Partners

iHub Anubhuti – IIITD Foundation has been established by Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi as a Section 8 Company under the aegis of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, seed-funded by DST (Department of Science and Technology).

01

Cognitive Computing

Intelligent systems that simulate human brain processes to solve society's most complex challenges. By overlapping AI with expert systems, neural networks, and robotics, it simplifies data ingestion, contextual awareness, and query processing to build thinkable systems.

02

Social Sensing

An AI-driven paradigm that treats internet-enabled devices and human sensors as real-time data sources. It targets situational awareness by curating large-scale social feeds, edge computations, and sensor networks for quick decision-making.

Medical Cobotics Center (MCC)

The centre aims at bridging the gap between the medical & engineering fields by providing a common platform for collaboration on training, research, new product development and commercialisation

Strategic Pillars

Strategy

iHUB Anubhuti has a 2- pronged strategy: 1) Top Down Approach and 2) a Bottoms Up Approach.

01

Top Down Approach

Focuses on working on the two Grand Challenges in the areas of Education and Healthcare. These are the big challenges where the impact is going to be huge. iHUB Anubhuti pursues projects and actively develops various modules around education and healthcare in active collaboration with the Ministry of Education and healthcare partners like AIIMS and PGIMER.

02

Bottoms Up Approach

Focuses on various projects in the areas of cognitive computing and social sensing around its domain. We invite proposals and select projects under the categories of predicting mortality/diagnosis/diagnostic tools for patients suffering from cancer/liver failure, challenges in Public Health, Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing, and Law Enforcement and Security.

Strategic Focus Components

1. Timeliness

Shortlisted verticals are timely and aligned with national developments (e.g. National Digital Health Mission).

2. Data & Domain Expertise

Strong focus on contributing to making verticals more data-rich via smart sensing technologies.

3. Deep Tech

Creating technologies beyond the state-of-the-art (e.g. energy-efficient blockchain, AI/ML architectures).

4. Interdisciplinary

Fostering cross-institutional (80% of proposals are multi-institutional) and cross-domain collaborations.

5. Entrepreneurial Edge

Forging strategic partnerships with industry to translate technology at scale in the real world.

6. Strategic Management

Outcome-driven approach with project mentoring, regular appraisals, and expert feedback.
